Natalia Rodrigues

I have recently discovered earth.

It sounds strange, I know, that it has taken me so long to get to this material. Me, someone who has always been so concerned with environmental issues, someone who has left the city life to move to a landscape of fields and forests, to breathe and to create in nature.... but it is true. 

From the first day I touched this media, daring to create in three dimensions, I was blown away by its power, and the freedom I felt. Later on someone would tell me about the healing power of earth, and maybe that was what I was in need of, bringing myself to the ground and finding this very real connection. 

I am extremely pulled by the vegetable world and am currently working on some sculptural installations. Here are some samples of my work in progress.
